EXCITING MUSICAL TRAVEL THROUGH THE BALKANS
In a bewitching musical whirl, a fluttering accordion and violin bow mingle with Eastern European songs, resulting in a free, inspired and exotic music that is eclectic and energetic.
A journey strewn with stopovers like so many Balkan inspirations in an atmosphere sometimes romantic, sometimes dynamic, but always sparkling.
The group KALYNDA was born from the meeting of two lovers of Balkan music and world music, violinist Maria Zaharia and accordionist Eric Jacquin, in the desire to share with the public their love of traditional music from all walks of life.
With its mixed and sunny sound, KALYNDA takes you with passion from Romania to Macedonia, passing through Bulgaria or Poland, in a musical fantasy where fever, joy, poetry of Balkan music and popular songs meet and are expressed. In contact with these different cultures, an inspiring musical ballad is presented just the time of a concert.
